18…

Quotes from 爱杀17 kept playing in my mind… Hehe…

Just to tell you gus what happened to me for this very “holy” process… Haha…

The process started last Saturday where our PIDC seniors organised a simple party for all september babies… Hehe… To see some photos please visit Vivian’s blog… And also a little present was given that time… I wonder where they can find such a nice piece of artwork in Salem… LOL.

And then yesterday’s night… A little ragging from the guys seniors… Haha… At first they wanted me to rip dance… Haha… But then after my slumberness they just wanted me to drink a small cup of diluted vodka… Maybe they thought that I was alcohol-virgin but I’m not… Haha… I still remembered (don’t know whether I got mentioned in this blog before onot) that the first time I drink real alcohol was my cousin brother’s wedding at Concorde Hotel… Haha… That time was red wine, and the only obvious difference I get is to sweat profusely even in the ball room… Haha…

And finally these are the presents I got…

The “stuffs” are from my PIDC seniors anyway… Hehe… I don’t have any idea what’s the stones for… Haha… Anyway the two packs of “stuff” together with the cute note were in the cigaratte box, and the cigaratte as well as the stones were in the big box… Haha… And the potato chips was from Ivy and Xiao Yun… Haha…

青春… LOL…

Pics Report 4

Stupid internet lah… Give one day don’t give two days… Better post some more pictures before it is down again…

So the story goes like this, one day I suddenly decided that I wanted to show you guys the medical college we have here… (Dental college maybe next time)… Then I grabbed my digicam and then went to our afternoon session with the cam…

Actually this was took after the class, but we have to start from outside first mah rite? So, this picture, combined with the one I took from hostel’s window, is the full length of our medical college… Wahahahaha… Too long lah… Can’t fit in one shot… Actually on the right of this picture (Tepi jalan) is a security guard under a small pondok observing me in a funny way… Please take note of the red mud road… We have it all over Salem as long as it is not main road… Haha… And no need to say our leather shoes get dirty easily…

The first look at our LECTURE HALL!!! Taa daa!!!… Hahaha… Nice or not?

After the class I took another picture again, too show you guys the tables!!! Yoohoo… Even my primary school’s wooden-old-like-hell table is nicer than this one… Haha…

And then outside the class… Notice the OHP outisde? It’s the same OHP as in the last picture… Haha… They have to move here move there for every class…

And then this is one of the two Roman-Styled-Pillar entrance… It looks nice from far but it’s pure rocky and sandy both at the stairs and the platform… Look at the kecacatan carefully, can you believe this building is only less than 20 years?

Our hostels are just near to the medical college… Here’s a picture overlooking our hostel from the entrance… Notice the small pondok I talked about just now? It’s just at the left side of the road… On the left is our hostels (Mine is the third block from the right or the first COLOURED from the left), and on the left is the hospital’s extension which is already operational, YES, I mean there’re already patients in it… Funny eh?

And then finally I’ve reached the main entrance to the international hostels… Now you know what I meant by under construction? Hahaha… The first right block have just been finished recently to welcome the September batch of PIDC students… Welcome to hell… Hahaha…

Pics Report III

Some photos about the living environment here… No time to finish the text report… Haha…

The medical college is just behind our hostels, and this is it… Actually there are 3 sections of the building, but from my room you can only get two sections of it… And yes, again I’ll need to say that this building is exactly what you see in the pictures only, nothing more behind… It’s just like a looooooong row of classrooms, maybe a bit wider… Maybe next time I’ll take the pics in the building, but the rules are damn strict here… Maybe I can only take the pic of our so-called lecture hall (Blackboard with chalks, no AC, clumsy looking chairs and tables)… And for the anatomy dissection area, I don’t think I have the guts to show my digital camera there… Haha… But just to tell you all, the room is just one of the rooms in the bulding and it’s without AC too… I wondered how the cadavers survived so long… But I think that’s a good point because the scary factor is minused without the cold environment + because it’s not a room hidden in a big/complex building, it’s just like ordinary classroom with the sides all windowed, so it’s quite bright = less scary… Hehehe…

The hospital I am in now is in the process of expansion, and this is where I found a nice view of it… Near the roof of the hospital… Hehe… Minus the trashes there…

This is our hostel… Octagon shaped… Double storey with 6 rooms in each floor… Mine is exactly the back of the building from this point of view… US got Pentagon we got Octagon, YAY!!!.. Hahaha… Luckily we didn’t get terrorist attack 2 days ago… LOL.

This is my room, taken from the door… You can see my bed and table in this pic… It looked like a hotel in picture but actually there’s a lot of kecacatan in their work… Don’t know how to describe but I can only say that its workmanship is very poor…

Our two cupboards and the door to toilet… I must admit that the toilet bigger than the one we had in Cendana… Hahaha… I think is almost the same size with the toilet in living room…

This is taken from the point you see the blue luggage in the previous picture… And say hi to Ah Seng, my roomate… Hahaha…

Pics Report II

This time is a little bit about the town…

This is the Kandaswarna Shopping Mall… The only place where I see tamadun like in KL… Hahaha… Odyssey is the place we all got our stationeries… I got Digital Fortress there too… Hehehe…

This is our college bus, parked opposite of Kandaswarna too… Tell you what, this is already a very nice bus around here… I hardly saw AC-ed bus around here…

This is our chancellor’s pic on bus… Yeng leh?…

River… Isn’t it KL’s river is much better? Hahahahaha…

Our heaven of groceries…

Most of the town area looks like this… This should be the most central zone of Salem… Looks like Petaling Street huh? I mean those old old shops around… Hahahahahaa…

Nah… Tell me how to go fast in this kind of road? The speed limit sign is just near the spot I took this picture… Hehehe… And it’s just the same spot where I took picture for Kandaswarna… Hehe… But really, they still have lots of stunts along this road… I shall make report for the impressions I got for this place… Just stay tune… Lol.. Bye bye and love you all!!!…

Pics report I

The last two posts was made at this moment, though the time stamp shows date earlier, which can be easily interpreted as – I typed the post in my laptop loh… Haha… Now I am in the sole location where I can online… The hospital’s auditorium… Funny eh? Haha… Bah… Before time runs out, let me show some pics here… Hehe… Which means, text report will be done when I am not online loh…

This time is something you guys cannot find in Malaysia…

Basically one has to really follow that because the road’s not big enough in the town… LOL.

Just to tell you all that this thing is located next to a pharmacy, strategic huh?

Our hostels are still under heavy construction, but one thing we cannot see in Malaysia is female workers… They are as strong as men here summore… And they are quite good in supporting things on top of head… Anything you can imagine they can just put on top of head… Even toilet bowls… LOL. And one thing you can notice for all the motorcyclists there is none of them wear helmet… Could it be becaused of their support-watever-things-on-head action? LOL.

Goats outside our hostel block… The fence is the border for our hostel compoud… Taken from my room… Seriously you can see lots of goats like you see any stray cats and dogs in Malaysia… Same to cows… Hehe… Sometime when one’s not walking on a road or pavement, you’ll really have to watch out for their droppings…

Toilet for the old bas stand in town… That’s good enough I tell you… You can actually spot people pee in deretan-deretan on the roadside… LOL. Imagine the smell there…

An interesting scene where the “FIRE” words on the buckets got blocked and becomes FIR… LOL… Taken at a petrol station (BHARAT PETROLEUM) near our college…

And finally, MONEY!!!! Converted from USD 1,500… It’s Rs 66,000… Hundreds of notes here… Whoosh… (I know lah I know lah, no need to “chuan” me with the rupiahs…)

Report Part I: The Road to Salem…

WARNING: SUPER LONG-WINDED POST AHEAD…

Sometimes I wondered why people would choose to divide post into parts… Now I know why… But not so good at explaining it… Haha… But for me it’s the limitedness of the free time and also the limitedness of internet access… We can now only go to Vinayaka Mission’s hospital to access the internet… How pathetic… Hahaha…

I guess that I am now ready to accept my life over here now… Although it’s far beyond my dream and aspiration… What else can I do if not to accept? I’m now riding on a tiger… What can I do?… (Besides strangling the tiger to death… LOL)

The last post was made on the 1st day we arrived here… Though it’s a bid saddening, but the feeling’s much better now… Actually I was crying before making the post… But then after making the post I felt much better… Hahaha… Again I need to thank all my friends who had comforted me…

Even our departure faces some obstacles… Boarding door changed from one end to another end… And then we have to wait for a few aircrafts to land or to take off before it’s our turn… But the aircraft managed to reach on time at last… Haha… We arrived at Bangalore International Airport after err… 3 and a half hour I suppose… And the surprise started when we walked out of the sky bridge… A Hospital Besar Kuala Lumpur-like style layout was in front of us… No air-cond, old looking tiles and wall paint, low ceiling (I mean not so high compared to KLIA’s), big pipes on top (I suppose that’s the centralise air cond, which I don’t know whether it’s working or not, but really I am sweating mad with the blazer under such condition), queuing (for immigration clearance), and people sitting on hospital-style chairs (probably waiting to board)… I suddenly felt that the aircrafts sitting outside are such a contrast for the airport… Hahaha… We’ve been warned during the pre-departure briefing… But still I expect some air-cond mah… So quite shocked… Haha… Even our LCCT is better and more spacious than that… Hahaha… But I am not so sure whether the building is smaller than LCCT or not lah… It’s also multi-storey building with escalators (Though we can’t find escalators in HBKL. LOL) Oh ya, did I mention that there’s only one round of conveyor belt for baggage collection? Imagine the whole aircraft’s passenger surrounding a less-than-10-metres-long baggage collection corner… I was talking about 1 plane’s passenger only… Not when multiple flights arrived at the same time…

But we still managed to get our luggage in one hour’s time… This is mainly because we’ve successfully occupied one section of the conveyor and pull out any luggage with yellow ribbon on it… Haha… And because the conveyor is small, I really think that it’s better for it to just stop moving and let people take all their luggage like that… Some people have to push other people away when they saw their luggage pass their front… Haha…

After that we are ready to go out of the airport… Once we exited the main entrance, we found that the climate is very much alike our Genting Highland… It’s sooooo nice especially when we are still wearing our blazer… I didn’t sweat because of the nice weather and also because it’s quite breezy over there…

OK now, the problem came… One thing very noticeable about most of the India’s Indians (I should address them as II for the rest of this blog) we dealt with (Note that I didn’t say the whole country’s Indian) are very weak in punctuality… Most of the time since we were here was misspent for waiting, waiting and waiting

The very first experience started right away… We started the very first WAITING experience with the waiting of the so-called “posh” coach… I don’t really remember how long we waited but for sure it’s at least 1 hour… Oh ya, during the 1 hour wait I’ve got this, it’s just at the outside of the airport with an arch signifying the point where trolley is not allowed beyond that point, and yes, trolley there can be brought from the exit of the airport to the point (Some cars honked us while on the road…):

Funny eh? Sum up every amount and it’s Rs. 3800 (Approx. RM 310) which is even lower than breaking only one rule in Malaysia (I meant the RM 350 fine for jumping traffic lights or speeding)… I don’t know how much it impact the IIs but to tell you the truth, the way our dear Buminathan drives is much better than the drivers here in India… Perhaps the fine rates explain it all… You’ll see later… Oh yeah, please note that they don’t have fine for honking without reason… And that’s when we learned that people in India is honk-happy flers… Just at the place we waiting for the coaches, we found that the entrance road to the airport has never ending horn sounds… Basically it’s rare to find 10 seconds of silence on the road (Unless when there’s no vehicle), some even have musical horn, and some of the motorcycle punya horn is more hebat than car… Some taxis (No, not the car-type as we usually see in Malaysia, it’s something they call toot-toot / auto and it’s like a “motor carriage”…) even have the “PLEASE SOUND HORN” sign at the back… Really za dao

Interested in their car number plate? Take a look…

One of my friends said that if kena rompak also hard to memorise their number plate… LOL.

To be continued…
