Kazuhiko Toyama – Fulfilled Desire

I used to wonder why a lot of people call my dad “Ah Ting” when I was still small – my mum, my maternal aunties and uncles, neighbours, his school colleagues, etc. , it’s like, my surname is also Ting and do those people know that?
In Chinese community, it’s uncommon for one to address another people with surname, unless you add a title for it (e.g. Mr Wong but not Wong), which makes it super formal and not used in usual conversation.
Anyway, a lot of people around me started to call me by my surname, only after I left Chong Hwa. Only till then I started to be less picky because it’s really hard for my non-Chinese friends to remember my first name. Yeah I admit that it’s hard for me to accept people calling me Ting initially, especially when there’s a Malay girl same course with me whom people call her Tim (Abbreviation of Fatimah), there’re times where people called her but I responded, LOL.
Anyway, nowadays when some local Indians wanna know my name, I’ll just say “You can call me Ting”. Guess I’ll have to continue my father’s “legacy” then. I wondered what he thought when people first called him Ting. Haha.

Anyway the thing is – people said that I am too serious when playing DoTA. I don’t know why, maybe it’s because of my perfectionism in mind. It can be shown from games that I like – RPG, Simulations, Tycoon type, I tend to have the desire to achieve perfectionism when playing these games. However, I have no idea how I fell in love with DotA as it is obviously not like any RPG, Simulation or Tycoon game. 
So these are the symptoms when I am playing DoTA:
- Used to have palpitations, cold fingers or even flushes when playing
- No more joking around
- The only reason to be happy is after a victorious team fight/ganking/lane killing, but not funny things encountered by my fellow playmates (stuck in tree, bought wrong item, etc.)
- Sort of depressed when seeing my teammates buying incorrect item
- Got sort of angry when my hero is killed because my teammate didn’t disable properly
- Buy wards for map control/invi heroes (Is this normal? People are scolding me for being too serious when I buy wards)
- Last but not least, KIASUNESS in every game
Read from forum that games are meant for relaxing, I think I took it in a wrong way then. Haha.

Too bad, the autorun virus has done some damage to my Windows even after you guys released the new definition.
Avast antivirus’ 16-3-2009 definition can detect the virus but you guys have to wait till the 28th, too bad, I’ve decided to jump jumped over to Avast. Bye AVG.
EDIT: And now my comp can’t perform Search function. Bad AVG.
