THE 7 BRANCHES OF DENTISTRY

Oral Medicine and Radiology
Identification and diagnosis oral diseases or conditions. The essence of dentistry – basically everyone will go to a dentist only when some abnormalities are there right?
Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics
As the name implies, this branch is to conserve teeth. Basically it’s the science of patching up caries. 
And Endodontics is about removing the pulp and patching the root canal up – so that the tooth won’t have to be extracted.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
If the tooth can’t be saved by conservative methods, then it’s the surgical method – remove it. Besides removing teeth, it also deals with surgeries involving the head and neck, e.g. tumour removal, abscess drainage, traumatic injuries involving the face, etc. etc. In short, anything GROSS can be considered in surgery, LOL.
Prosthodontics
So after removing teeth we have to replace it with artificial ones right? This is the branch which deals with the replacement of natural teeth. Dentures, crowns, bridges are made here.
Periodontics
The branch of dentistry which deals with the tissues SURROUNDING (the word “peri”) a tooth. Namely the gingiva, the bone holding the tooth and the periodontal ligament (the tissue holding the tooth to the bone). Sometimes the teeth can be completely healthy while the gums are diseased, where teeth will initially become shaky and then can drop off just like that without any caries on the tooth. That’s why this branch of dentistry is important.
Orthodontics
As many of you might have known, this is the branch of dentistry to correct misalignment of teeth. In some cases of malposition of teeth, where food becomes easily lodged in between teeth, the teeth might be more easily affected with caries.
Pedodontics
Kids = pedo. All the branches above which is practiced on kids. Of course treating the adults are different from treating the kids, that’s why this branch exists.

Besides the Tai Tong mooncakes that I condemned so much, there’s a Sushi King mooncake parcelled together with the Tai Tong mooncakes.
And let’s cut inside and see…
The name is 金芋满堂 Pumpkin Taro. Not sure where’s the pumpkin but the mooncake is nice. At least nicer than the Tai Tong’s one.
Short form for Good Game.
Originally used in network games after a game has ended, and when one thinks that game was worth playing.
The meaning has evolved nowadays. GG now means game over.
People usually use it in a game when they think they’ll lose, instead of expressing that the game was worth playing.
Like when you see Spectre with Radiance on the opposite team, you instantly say GG.
You can even use it in daily life.
E.g.: My girlfriend caught me holding hands with another girl, GG liao.
LOL.
